Jon was born in January of 1960, in Virginia, to Bob and Faye Estes. His dad was a Pastor and his mom a secretary. Jon is the 3rd of 4 children. Jon came to know the saving grace of Christ at the age of 9. During his first semester of college, God used what was being taught in the Introduction to NT class to call him into vocational ministry.

Jon moved to Texas to continue his education to prepare for a life in ministry. He graduated from Dallas Baptist University. He earned his undergrad degree in Applied Arts - Pastoral Ministries. Jon earned his Master of Divinity at Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary, Wake Forest, NC. Jon has had a desire for years to work on earning a Doctorate. That possibility has yet to develop, so that may be added at a later date.

During his time in school, Jon met Pamela Fugitt who would become his wife in August 1980. God blessed Jon and Pam with two sons, Chad - 1892 and Grant - 1985. Chad and Grant have grown into two wonderful men who Jon and Pam are extremely proud of. They have also given us 6 grandchildren, which are our treasures.

Jon has followed Gods call to serve in the local church in TX, DE, NC, and PA. He has also followed God's call to serve Him internationally in Nigeria and Dubai. Short term mission projects for Christ were in 8 or so states while International short term projects have been to Romania, Nigeria and Cuba.
